Isabelle Duret-Dujarric's oil paintings don't have any equivalence as far as coloring,
brightness and relief are concerned.
The secret of her art is due to the support she uses : smooth and thick paper which allows to work much finer and more in the material than with canvas.
Done
with the physical mixtures which break the colors, everything works on optical phenomena : a tone brightened by the
thinning down of the coat, as much as possible, the tones blend together by the superpositions of transparent coats, the
chromatic vibration of the pure color remains intact and the reflexion of the light going through it exacerbates it even
more.

Done too with the limits of volumes : thanks to the oil through the thickness of the paper, the adherence is such that it allows any extraordinary possibilities of thickness and density. The painting livens up according to the lightings, brightens up or fades down in its glaze, brings out different shades in relief, and keeps on having something to say.
At the same time stained-glass painting and sculpture-painting, an Isabelle Duret-Dujarric's painting, violent or soft, has always the power of impressionism up to the paroxysm of colors, material and emotions...
